Dion began his accountancy career in 1994, qualifying with a Bachelor of Business Studies and as a Chartered Accountant in 2009 while working full time.  Dion spent six years in London in various commercial roles before returning to New Zealand 2007.

Dion's focus is in the commercial sector, working along side many small to medium sized businesses across a wide range of industry sectors including construction and trades, manufacturing, professional services and aged care, among many others. He enjoys working with business owners in the start up and growth stages, as well as with established businesses and helping them to set and achieve their business and personal goals. 

His work includes:

• Guiding business owners to understand, interpret and make decisions around financial performance

• Identifying and appraising business opportunities

• Growth through expansion into new regions, mergers or purchasing of new businesses

• Business planning and objective setting

• Succession planning and wealth management

• Directorship and trustee work

• Tax advice and planning

• Budgeting and forecasting

Outside of work... Family comes first, especially following the kids sporting exploits. Dion loves endurance sports, which often means early morning starts when training training for triathlon or marathon events. Whilst enjoying most sports, he is an avid rugby supporter, mediocre golfer, and balances that all with travel and music.
